  • Situation:

    $500 million debt in a fiber based fixed line network in an era of explosive mobile growth. Falling revenues and morale.

    Action:

    Several of the Kitskoo staff were part of the turn around team. A performance based culture was established. A full $100 million in debt payment and $150 million in capex was funded out of internal cash flow.

    Results:

    The team delivered record double digit growth in Revenue, EBITDA and Operating Income. The country’s first wholesale data business was established and more than 100,000 broadband customers were achieved.

  • Situation:

    Dhiraagu is the leading provider of fixed, mobile, Internet & data services in the Maldives. With more mobile subscribers than people, how does the Maldives extend broadband across more than 800 miles of islands?

    Action:

    Kitskoo performed an advisory role to the lenders for the national fiber optic cable and broadband expansion project.

    Results:

    Financing for the US$70 million initiative was approved and the project is currently ongoing.

  • Situation:

    Despite the success of BPOs, why does the Philippines lag behind other countries in both the digital infrastructure and the digital economy?

    Action:

    Both the Commission on Information & Communication Technology (CICT) & the House Committee on Communications Technology are trying to remedy this situation.

    Results:

    Kitskoo has provided an actionable framework for getting the Philippines into the Global Digital Economy.

  • Situation:

    Which of the many communication and information technologies being deployed in Africa at an accelerated pace, have the potential to transform a sector, country or region?

    Action:

    Kitskoo is the overall program coordinator for the $1+ million project to ensure the identification, resourcing and scaling up of the projects and conditions necessary to transform the Agriculture, Climate Change, Education, Finance, Health, Local ICT, Public Sector & Regional Trade sectors.

    Results:

    Project is on schedule and on budget. Significant cross-industry expert participation with an interactive and online process. Critical insights have already been achieved.

  • Situation:

    Mobiltel Nigeria is a competitive Wi-Max 4G broadband provider. With a well developed mobile voice market of over a 90 million subscribers, why are broadband services limited, slow and unreliable?

    Action:

    Kitskoo provides critical strategic partnership on operational processes, technology strategy and service quality.

    Results:

    Execution aligned with strategy. Significant improvement in service quality. Operational readiness for next generation technology & services.

  • Situation:

    The Asian Development Bank is committed to development. When undertaking a variety of telecom and related projects in Papua New Guinea, Maldives, Tajikistan and across the region; who does the bank’s Private Sector group turn to?

    Action:

    Kitskoo performs the role of senior telecom advisor covering all aspects of the deal, including strategy, marketing, competition, operations and finances.

    Results:

    Funding for projects worth US$70 million – US$100 million are approached with confidence.

  • Situation:

    The IPBC in the Ministry of State Owned Enterprises is the Papua New Guinea government entity with majority shareholding of PNG Telikom PNG, PNG Power, Air Niugini, PNG Ports & Bemobile. So whom did the IPBC turn to when they needed a strategy to accelerate the availability and adoption of broadband nationwide?

    Action:

    Kitskoo conducted an in-depth strategic analysis and recommended a change in industry structure and a broadband investment with a value of over US$100 million.

    Results:

    Recommendation was approved by the National Executive Council and is being scheduled for implementation.

  • Situation:

    MTN is the mobile leader in Africa and Nigeria with over 100 million subscribers in total. However, in Nigeria only a small portion of the $1 billion data market is being addressed. How will MTN Nigeria create a new data strategy for success in this key growth market?

    Action:

    Kitskoo was a major contributor to the strategic plan, with a “game changing” concept for sales and distribution.

    Results:

    Proposal was accepted and is scheduled for trial.
